Getting Back into Shape (take 436)

I have been getting into (or back into shape) for approximately 25 years of my life! So here we go again and one thing is for sure, it will NOT include a treadmill!!!! Why you ask?...
Let me introduce you to Ella, she is a 5-year old (going on 17) who refuses to learn from her mistakes, even very painful ones. I cannot imagine why she is so stubborn and crazy. Just kidding, we all know she gets it from her Momma! In fact my mother and husband both refer to her as "Little Becky". Anyhoo, when Ella was three she decided to stick her fingers under the treadmill (which her then 8-year old brother was using for some unknown reason). Here are the results:

Fast forward two years and we have another treadmill encounter. This time her 10-year old brother was on the elliptical trying out his new Beats (I never thought I would write that sentence) and for some inexplicable reason he had retrieved the treadmill key from a shelf that Ella cannot reach and started this chain of events. So the Hot Mess Express decides that she will get on the treadmill and according to her brother (a questionable source at best) she sets it to approximately a 12!!! So you can then imagine the scene as it unfolds and if not, here are some gross photos for clarification:
So what have we learned:
1. Do not allow Ella near a treadmill
2. Do not allow Ella into the basement
3. Question all decisions made by Jace
4. The treadmill is the devil (I already had an inkling)
5. The Northside Urgent Care probably thinks I am an unfit mom, because we have been to this location twice and both times for treadmill encounters.
Back to my original train of thought, I have decided that since I will be working with elementary teachers (who are adorable) that I would like to look better and interacting daily with 4th & 5th graders (to whom I will no doubt I will be like a superhero) I want to be a positive role model. Also, being around softball again will invariably lead to khaki shorts and I would prefer not to scare anyone at the field.
So here we are again, back on the fitness/healthy eating train! I have gathered a million resources and I am forcing Jace to complete the short HIIT workouts with me, I will post videos shortly. Ha ha, that was funny. Just imagine the most athletic person you have ever seen and that should suffice.
I have about a week and a half until my first year as an AP starts and I want to have a strong routine in place because there is nothing like the beginning of the school year!
